Monday: review options for homework, pick one and complete and hand in Friday
1. Look up Melittobia digitata ( WOW bug) on the Internet. Write some interesting facts you find.
2. Research different ways that insects have influenced history ( Summarize your findings in 1 page report ( Example, How have locusts impacted crops throughout history?)
3.. Draw and label a diagram of a wasp. Compare this to the WOW bug.
4. Write a 1/2 to l page report on fruit flies. How are they used in classrooms around the world?
5. Make a list of organisms that can regenerate. Write one paragraph explaining regeneration.
6.Write 1/2 to 1 page report on Robert Hooke and Antony van Leeuwenhoek.
7. find images of the Internet of microscopes . Make a time line using these pictures to show the development of the microscope. ( 1/2 poster board)
8. What characteristics of the WOW bug did you observe that suggest it is an insect ( 1/2 page)?
